Musnad Ahmad 32:2146

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, he said: Thabit informed us, from Anas, "That eighty men from the people of Makkah descended upon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and his companions from the mountain of At-Tan'im at the time of the dawn prayer. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, took them as captives, then he pardoned them. And the Quran was revealed: {And it is He who withheld their hands from you and your hands from them within [the area of] Makkah after He caused you to overcome them} [Al-Fath: 24]."
