Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Malik—meaning Ibn Mighwal—informed us, from al-Zubayr ibn ‘Adi, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: "No time will come upon you except that it is worse than the time that preceded it." We heard that from your Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, twice.
