Musnad Ahmad 32:289

Yazid narrated to us, Hammam ibn Yahya informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: "The sandals of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, had two straps (between the toes)."
