Musnad Ahmad 32:349

Hajjaj narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to me, from Abu 'Imran al-Jawni, from Anas ibn Malik, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "It will be said to a man from the people of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection: 'Do you see, if you had everything that is on the earth, would you ransom yourself with it?' He said: 'He will say: Yes.' He said: 'He will say: I wanted from you something easier than that. I took a covenant from you in the loins of Adam that you would not associate anything with Me, but you refused except to associate [others with Me].'"
