'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Jarir ibn Hazim, from Qatadah, who said: I asked Anas ibn Malik about the recitation of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He said: "He used to extend his voice with an extension."
