Musnad Ahmad 32:464

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Thabit, from Anas: "Usayd ibn Hudayr and another man from the Ansar spoke with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) one night regarding a need they had, until a portion of the night had passed, and it was a night of intense darkness. Then they departed from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to return, and in the hand of each one of them was a small staff. The staff of one of them illuminated for both of them, so they walked in its light. When the path diverged for them, the staff of the other one illuminated for him, so each one of them walked in the light of his staff until he reached his family."
