Musnad Ahmad 32:498

Rawh ibn ‘Ubadah narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, from Ishaq ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Abi Talhah, who heard Anas ibn Malik say: Abu Talhah was the wealthiest of the Ansar in Medina, and the most beloved of his wealth to him was Bayruha’. It was facing the mosque, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to enter it and drink from the water in it, which was sweet. Anas said: When the verse was revealed: "You will not attain righteousness until you spend from that which you love" [Al ‘Imran: 92], Abu Talhah said: "O Messenger of Allah, indeed Allah says: 'You will not attain righteousness until you spend from that which you love,' and the most beloved of my wealth to me is Bayruha’. It is a charity for the sake of Allah; I hope for its righteousness and its treasure with Allah. So place it, O Messenger of Allah, where Allah shows you." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Bravo! That is profitable wealth, that is profitable wealth. I have heard what you said, and I see that you should distribute it among your relatives." Abu Talhah said: "I will do so, O Messenger of Allah." He said: So Abu Talhah distributed it among his relatives and his cousins.
