Hassan and ‘Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Sinan ibn Rabi‘ah, from Anas. ‘Affan said in his narration: Abu Rabi‘ah informed us, he said: I heard Anas ibn Malik say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When Allah tests the Muslim servant with a trial in his body, Allah says: 'Record for him his righteous deeds that he used to perform.' If He heals him, He washes him and purifies him, and if He takes his soul, He forgives him and has mercy upon him."
