Musnad Ahmad 32:609

Hassan ibn Musa narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Thabit al-Bunani, from Anas ibn Malik, that a man said: "O Muhammad, our master and the son of our master, and the best of us and the son of the best of us." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "O people, adhere to your piety. Do not let the devil deceive you. I am Muhammad ibn Abdullah, the servant of Allah and His Messenger. By Allah, I do not like for you to raise me above the status that Allah has placed me in."
