Musnad Ahmad 32:631

Hassan narrated to us, Hammad—meaning Ibn Zayd—narrated to us, from Salam al-Alawi, that he heard Anas ibn Malik saying: A man entered upon the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and upon him was a yellow color [saffron/perfume], and he disliked it. When the man stood up, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to some of his companions: "If you had ordered this man to leave this yellow color." He said it twice or three times. Anas said: And the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, would rarely confront a man with something he disliked to his face.
