Musnad Ahmad 32:632

Aswad narrated to us, Ammarah al-Saydalani narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, who said: A beggar came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he ordered a date for him, but he did not take it, or he treated it with disdain. He said: Another came to him, and he ordered a date for him. He said: So he said, "Subhan Allah! A date from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" He said: So he said to the slave girl, "Go to Umm Salamah and give him the forty dirhams that are with her."
