Yahya ibn Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Ayyub narrated to us, from Humayd, who said: I heard Anas ibn Malik saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There will arrive to you tomorrow people who are softer in heart toward Islam than you." He said: Then the Ash'ariyyun arrived, among them Abu Musa al-Ash'ari. When they drew near to Medina, they began to chant in *rajaz* meter, saying: Tomorrow we shall meet the beloved, Muhammad and his party. When they arrived, they shook hands, and they were the first to introduce the shaking of hands. *** 12583 - Al-Hakam ibn Musa narrated to us—Abu Abd al-Rahman Abdullah said: And I heard it myself from al-Hakam ibn Musa—Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi al-Rijal narrated to us, from Nabit ibn Umar, from Anas ibn Malik, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "Whoever prays forty prayers in my mosque, not missing a single prayer, it is written for him an exemption from the Fire, and a salvation from the punishment, and he is cleared of hypocrisy."
