Abu Kamil narrated to us, Ibrahim—meaning Ibn Sa'd—narrated to us, Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik: "He saw on the hand of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a ring of silver for one day, so the people made rings of silver." He said: "Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, cast away his ring, and the people cast away their rings."
