'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from Thabit al-Bunani, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, met 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf, and upon him was a trace of yellow perfume (khuluq). The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to him: "What is this, O 'Abd al-Rahman?" He said: "I have married a woman from the Ansar." He said: "How much did you give her as a bridal gift (mahr)?" He said: "The weight of a date stone of gold." The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Give a wedding feast (walimah), even if with a sheep." Anas said: "I indeed saw him distribute to each woman among his wives, after his death, one hundred thousand dinars."
