'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas: The people of Makkah asked the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, for a sign, "so the moon split in Makkah twice." He said: "The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split. And if they see a sign, they turn away and say, 'Continuous magic.'"
