Hadith 32:804
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far and Hajjaj narrated to us, they said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Hisham ibn Zayd, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: We passed by and startled a hare at Marr al-Zahran. The people chased it and became exhausted, but I chased it until I caught it. I brought it to Abu Talhah, and he slaughtered it. He sent its haunch—or its thigh—to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he accepted it. Hajjaj said: I said to Shu‘bah: "Did he eat it?" He said: "Yes, he ate it." He said: "He accepted it from me."
