Musnad Ahmad 32:824

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he mentioned its meaning, except that he said: "So I wanted to reconcile their hearts and compensate them."
