Hadith 32:845
Mu'ammal narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, that 'Itban ibn Malik lost his eyesight. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, if you would come and pray in my house—or he said: in my home—I would take your place of prayer as a mosque." So the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came and prayed in his house—or he said: in his home. The people of 'Itban gathered around the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He said: They mentioned Malik ibn al-Dukhshum and said: "O Messenger of Allah, he is such and such," implying hypocrisy. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Does he not testify that there is no god but Allah, and that I am the Messenger of Allah?" They said: "Yes." He said: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, no servant says it, believing in it, but that the Fire is forbidden to him."
