Musnad Ahmad 32:859

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah informed us, and Hajjaj said: Shu‘bah narrated to me, he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Anas ibn Malik, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, the Ansar are my inner circle and my trusted confidants. And indeed, the people will increase, while they will decrease, so accept from their doers of good, and pardon their wrongdoers." And Hajjaj said: "And pardon their elderly."
