Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Asamm, who said: I heard Anas ibn Malik saying: "The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman did not shorten the takbir."
