Waki’ narrated to us, from Hammam, from Qatadah, from Anas, that a tailor invited the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, to food. He brought him food that he had prepared with rancid fat and gourd. "I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, following the gourd around the dish." Anas said: "I have not ceased to like gourd since I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, like it."
