Musnad Ahmad 478:2

Muhammad ibn Mus'ab narrated to us, he said: Al-Awza'i narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Salamah, from Ja'far ibn 'Amr ibn Umayyah al-Damri, from his father, who said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, wiping over the leather socks and the head covering."
