Musnad Ahmad 1118:21

'Isam ibn Khalid al-Hadrami narrated to us, Safwan ibn 'Amr narrated to us, from Shurayh ibn 'Ubayd, that Fadalah ibn 'Ubayd al-Ansari used to say: We went on an expedition with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, the expedition of Tabuk. The riding animals were exhausted by a severe exhaustion, so they complained to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, about the exhaustion that was upon their riding animals. He waited for a narrow pass for them, and the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, traveled through it. He said: "Pass in the name of Allah." So the people passed over it with their riding animals. He began to blow upon their riding animals: "O Allah, carry upon them in Your path, for You carry upon the strong and the weak, and upon the moist and the dry, on land and at sea." He said: We did not reach Medina until they began to pull at their reins against us. Fadalah said: "This is the supplication of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, for the strong and the weak, so what about the moist and the dry?" When we arrived in Ash-Sham, we went on the expedition of Cyprus by sea. When I saw the ships in the sea and what enters into them, I recognized the supplication of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
