Hadith 1118:35
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Al-Jurayri informed me, from Abdullah ibn Buraydah, that a man from the companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, traveled to Fudalah ibn Ubayd while he was in Egypt. He arrived to him while he was grooming a she-camel of his. He said: "I have not come to you as a visitor; I have only come to you for a hadith that reached me from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, hoping that you have knowledge of it." He saw him disheveled, so he said: "Why do I see you disheveled while you are the governor of the land?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to forbid us from much indulgence." He saw him barefoot, so he said: "Why do I see you barefoot?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, commanded us to go barefoot at times."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
