Hadith of Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Bakr (RA)

Hadith 12:5

Abdullah bin Bakr al-Sahmi narrated to us, Hisham bin Hassan narrated to us, from al-Qasim bin Mihran, from Musa bin Ubaid, from Maymun bin Mihran, from Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Bakr, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, my Lord gave me seventy thousand of my nation who will enter Paradise without reckoning." Umar said: "O Messenger of Allah, why did you not ask Him for more?" He said: "I did ask Him for more, and He gave me, with every man, seventy thousand." Umar said: "Why did you not ask Him for more?" He said: "I did ask Him for more, and He gave me, with every man, seventy thousand." Umar said: "Why did you not ask Him for more?" He said: "I did ask Him for more, and He gave me like this." And Abdullah bin Bakr spread his hands out in front of him. Abdullah said: And he stretched out his two arms, and Abdullah scooped [with his hands]. And Hisham said: And this is from Allah; its number is not known.
