Musnad Ahmad 926:3

'Abdullah narrated to us, 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Umar al-Qawariri narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, from 'Uzrah, from al-Hasan al-'Arani, from Yahya ibn al-Jazzar, from Ibn Abi Layla, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, regarding this verse: {And We will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment} [As-Sajdah: 21]. He said: "The calamities and the smoke have passed, and the seizing (al-batshah) and the inevitable (al-lizam)."
