Hadith of Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b (RA)

Hadith 922:2

Mu'ammal narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, Aslam al-Minqari narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, from his father, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: "O Ubayy, I have been commanded to recite such and such a Surah to you." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, have I been mentioned there?" He said: "Yes." He (Ubayy) said: So I said to him: "O Abu al-Mundhir, were you happy with that?" He said: "What would prevent me, while Allah says: 'Say, in the bounty of Allah and in His mercy—in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate'?" Mu'ammal said: I said to Sufyan: "Is this recitation in the Hadith?" He said: "Yes."
