Hadith of Abd al-Rahman ibn Samurah (RA)
Hadith 850:2
Isma'il ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, al-Jariri narrated to us, from Hayyan ibn 'Umayr, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Samurah narrated to us, he said: While I was shooting my arrows during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, by Allah, the sun was eclipsed, so I cast them aside and hurried to see what the eclipse of the sun would bring about for the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. And behold, he was raising his hands, glorifying Allah the Almighty and Majestic, praising Him, declaring His oneness, magnifying Him, and supplicating. He did not cease to be in that state until the sun was uncovered. Then he recited two surahs and performed two rak'ahs.
