'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, Jarir ibn Hazim narrated to us, from Ya'la ibn Hakim, from Abu Labid, who said: We went on a military expedition with 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Samurah to Kabul. The people obtained sheep and plundered them. 'Abd al-Rahman ordered a crier to call out: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 'Whoever plunders a plunder is not one of us. So return these sheep.'" They returned them, and he divided them equally.
