Musnad Ahmad 850:6

Abdullah narrated to us, Ubaydullah ibn Umar al-Qawariri narrated to me, Nasih ibn al-Ala Abu al-Ala narrated to us, Ammar ibn Abi Ammar narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Samurah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, the like of it. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: I heard al-Qawariri saying: "I used to pass by Nasih and he would narrate to me, and if I asked him for more, he would say: 'I have nothing other than this,' and he was blind."
