Hadith of Abdullah bin Busr al-Mazini (RA)

Hadith 534:12

'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Khumayr, from 'Abdullah ibn Busr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to my father and stayed with him, or my father said to him: "Stay with me." He said: So he brought him food, *haysah* (a dish made of dates, ghee, and dried yogurt), and *sawiq* (roasted barley flour), and he ate it. He used to eat dates and cast the pits—he described it with his index and middle fingers, with their backs—from his mouth. Then he brought him a drink, and he drank, then he handed it to the one on his right. Then he stood up and took hold of the bridle of his mount, and said: "Pray for me." So he said: "O Allah, bless them in what You have provided for them, forgive them, and have mercy upon them."
