Musnad Ahmad 534:13

Bahz narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, Yazid ibn Khumayr informed me, he said: I heard Abdullah ibn Busr say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stayed with my father, or he said: My father said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "Stay with me." He said: So he stayed with him. He brought him food, or *hays* (a mixture of dates, ghee, and dried yogurt). He said: So he ate. Then he brought him a drink. He said: So he drank. He said: Then he passed it to the one on his right. He said: And when he ate, he would discard the date pits—Shu'bah described it: that he placed the pit on his index and middle fingers, then he threw it away. Then my father said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah for us." He said: "O Allah, bless them in what You have provided for them, forgive them, and have mercy upon them."
