Musnad Ahmad 430:1

Isma'il narrated to us, he said: Sa'id ibn Iyas al-Jurayri narrated to us, from Qays ibn 'Abayah, from the son of 'Abdullah ibn Mughaffal, Yazid ibn 'Abdullah, who said: My father heard me while I was saying: "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful." He said: "O my son, beware!"—and he said: "I have not seen anyone among the companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) to whom an innovation in Islam was more hateful than him—"for I have prayed with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and with Abu Bakr, and 'Umar, and 'Uthman, and I did not hear any one of them say it. So do not say it. When you recite, say: 'All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.'"
