Hadith of Abdullah bin Mughaffal al-Muzani (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث عبد الله بن مغفل المزني (1) عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 430:3
Ibn Idris narrated to us, he said: I heard Shu'bah mentioning, from Abu Iyas Mu'awiyah ibn Qurrah al-Muzani, from Abdullah ibn Mughaffal, he said: I heard him [the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] reciting on the day of the Conquest. "Were it not that the people would gather around me, I would have imitated for you the recitation of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him." He said: "He recited Surah al-Fath." He said: "Were it not that the people would gather around me, I would have imitated for you what Abdullah—meaning Ibn Mughaffal—said regarding how the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, recited." And Bahz and Ghundar said: "He trilled [the voice] in it."
