Hadith of Abdullah bin Mughaffal al-Muzani (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث عبد الله بن مغفل المزني (1) عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 430:8
Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Kahmas narrated to me, from ‘Abdullah ibn Buraydah, from Ibn Mughaffal, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade *al-khadhf* (flicking pebbles with the fingers). And he said: "It does not injure an enemy, nor does it hunt game."
حدثنا وكيع، قال: حدثني كهمس، عن عبد الله بن بريدة، عن ابن مغفل، قال: نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الخذف، وقال: " إنها لا ينكأ بها عدو، ولا يصاد بها صيد "
