Musnad Ahmad 834:26

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far and Bahz narrated to us, they said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Mu‘awiyah—Bahz said in his narration: Mu‘awiyah ibn Qurrah narrated to me, he said: I heard ‘Abdullah ibn Mughaffal al-Muzani say: "I saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on the day of the conquest of Makkah upon his she-camel, reciting Surah al-Fath." He said: Then Ibn Mughaffal recited and trilled [his voice]. Mu‘awiyah said: "Were it not for the people, I would have demonstrated for you that which Ibn Mughaffal mentioned from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." Bahz said in his narration: Or he carried him upon his she-camel. He said: So he recited Surah al-Fath and trilled in it. Abu Iyas said: "Were it not that I fear that the people would gather around me, I would have trilled just as he trilled."
