Musnad Ahmad 834:3

Waki’ narrated to us, Shu’bah narrated to us, from Mu’awiyah ibn Qurrah, who said: I heard ‘Abdullah ibn Mughaffal saying: "The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, recited Surah al-Fath while on his mount during the year of the Conquest." And he said once: "Surah al-Fath was revealed while he was on a journey of his, so he began to recite it while he was on his mount." He said: "And he repeated it (the recitation) in it." Mu’awiyah said: "Were it not that I dislike for people to gather around me, I would have imitated his recitation for you."
