Narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Ja’far, who said: Narrated to us Shu’bah, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, who said: I heard ‘Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa—and I think he mentioned that he heard it from the Prophet (ﷺ)—saying: "Do not wear silk, nor dibaj (a type of fine silk), nor drink from vessels of gold and silver, nor eat from them. For indeed, they are for them (the disbelievers) in this world, and for you in the Hereafter."
