Hadith of Abdullah bin Unays (RA)

Hadith 265:1

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Hammam ibn Yahya informed us, from al-Qasim ibn Abd al-Wahid al-Makki, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah saying: A hadith reached me from a man who heard it from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. So I bought a camel, then I fastened my saddle upon it, and I traveled to him for a month until I arrived at him in al-Sham. It was Abdullah ibn Unays. I said to the doorman: "Tell him: Jabir is at the door." He said: "Ibn Abdullah?" I said: "Yes." So he came out, stepping on his garment, and he embraced me and I embraced him. I said: "A hadith reached me from you that you heard it from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, regarding retribution (qisas), and I feared that you might die, or I might die, before I heard it." He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "People—or he said: The servants—will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection naked, uncircumcised, and *buhman*." I said: We said: "And what is *buhman*?" He said: "They will have nothing with them. Then He will call out to them with a voice that the one who is far hears just as the one who is near hears: 'I am the King, I am the Judge (al-Dayyan). It is not fitting for anyone from the people of the Fire to enter the Fire while he has a right owed to him by anyone from the people of Paradise, until I exact retribution for him from him. And it is not fitting for anyone from the people of Paradise to enter Paradise while anyone from the people of the Fire has a right owed to him by him, until I exact retribution for him from him, even if it be a slap.'" He said: We said: "How, when we are coming to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, naked, uncircumcised, and *buhman*?" He said: "By good deeds and bad deeds."

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
