Musnad Ahmad 330:1

Hadith of Abdullah bin Zaid bin Abd Rabbihi (RA), the companion of the Adhan, from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 330:1

'Abd al-Samad ibn 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us, he said: Aban—meaning al-'Attar—narrated to us, he said: Yahya—meaning ibn Abi Kathir—narrated to us, from Abu Salamah, from Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Zayd, that his father narrated to him that he witnessed the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, at the place of sacrifice, along with a man from Quraysh, while he was distributing the sacrificial animals. Neither he nor his companion received anything from them. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, shaved his head into his garment and gave it to him, and he distributed some of it among the men. Then he clipped his nails, and he gave them to his companion. He said: It is indeed with us, dyed with henna and katam—meaning his hair.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
