Hadith 329:16
Hisham ibn Sa’id narrated to us, he said: Khalid informed us, he said: ‘Amr ibn Yahya ibn ‘Umarah al-Ansari informed us, and Khalaf ibn al-Walid said: Khalid narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Yahya, from his father, from ‘Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn ‘Asim—and he had companionship [with the Prophet]—that it was said to him: "Perform for us the ablution of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him." He said: "He called for a vessel, then he tilted it over his hands three times and washed them. Then he inserted his hand and brought it out, and he rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose from one palm, and he did that three times. Then he brought it out and washed his face. Then he inserted his hand and brought it out, and he washed his hands up to the elbows twice, twice. Then he inserted his hand and brought it out, and he wiped his head, moving his hands forward and backward. Then he washed his feet up to the ankles." Then he said: "Thus was the ablution of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him."
