Musnad Ahmad 329:23

Sufyan narrated to us, he said: 'Amr ibn Yahya ibn 'Umarah ibn Abi Hasan al-Mazini al-Ansari narrated to us, from his father, from 'Abdullah ibn Zayd, "that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, performed ablution." Sufyan said: Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Yahya—seventy-four years ago, and I asked him shortly after that, and Yahya was older than him. Sufyan said: I heard three hadiths from him—"He washed his hands twice, and his face three times, and wiped his head twice." I heard him [Sufyan] say three times: "He washed his feet twice." And he said once: "He wiped his head once." And he said twice: "He wiped his head twice."
