Hadith of Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa (RA)
Hadith 775:14
Waki’ narrated to us, Malik ibn Mighwal narrated to us, from Talhah ibn Musarrif, who said: I said to Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa: "Did the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, bequeath anything?" He said: "No." I said: "Then how did he command the Muslims to make a bequest?" He said: "He bequeathed the Book of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic." Malik ibn Mighwal said: Talhah said: And al-Hudhayl ibn Shurahbil said: Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, was commanding over the executor of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, wished that he had found a covenant with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, so that he could have pierced his nose with a nose-ring.
