Musnad Ahmad 284:2

'Abd al-Quddus ibn Bakr ibn Khunays narrated to us, he said: Hajjaj informed us, from 'Amir ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr, from his father, who said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, begin the prayer, and he raised his hands until he passed his ears with them." It was read to Sufyan while I was a witness, I heard Ibn 'Ajlan and Ziyad ibn Sa'd, from 'Amir ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr, from his father, who said: I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, supplicating like this, and Ibn al-Zubayr gestured. Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Ibn 'Ajlan, he said: 'Amir ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to me, from his father, who said: "When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, would sit in the Tashahhud, he would place his right hand on his right thigh, and his left hand on his left thigh, and he would gesture with his index finger, and his gaze would not go beyond his gesture."
