Musnad Ahmad 450:3

Haywah ibn Shurayh and Yazid ibn Abd Rabbih narrated to us, they said: Baqiyyah narrated to us, he said: Buhayr ibn Sa’d narrated to me, from Khalid ibn Ma’dan, from Abu Qutilah, from Ibn Hawalah, that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The matter will reach a point where you will be mobilized armies: an army in Ash-Sham, an army in Yemen, and an army in Iraq." Ibn Hawalah said: "Choose for me, O Messenger of Allah, if I live to see that." He said: "You must go to Ash-Sham, for it is Allah’s chosen land from His earth, to which He gathers the best of His servants. But if you refuse, then you must go to your Yemen, and drink from your ponds, for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has guaranteed for me Ash-Sham and its people."
