Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, Muhammad ibn Muslim al-Zuhri narrated to me, from Abdullah ibn Tha'labah ibn Su'ayr al-'Udhri—and in what was read to Ya'qub, the 'Udhri, an ally of Banu Zuhrah—he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, looked out over the companions of Uhud, and he mentioned the meaning of the hadith of Yazid.
