Hadith of Abu Abd al-Rahman Safinah, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (SAW).
حديث أبي عبد الرحمن سفينة مولى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 949:7
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah informed us, Sa'id ibn Jumhan informed us, from Safinah, who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on a journey. Whenever some of the people became exhausted, he would cast his sword, his shield, and his spear upon me, until I carried a great deal of that. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "You are Safinah (a ship)."
حدثنا عفان، أخبرنا حماد بن سلمة، أخبرنا سعيد بن جمهان، عن سفينة، قال: كنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في سفر، فكلما أعيا بعض القوم ألقى علي سيفه وترسه ورمحه، حتى حملت من ذلك شيئا كثيرا، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أنت سفينة "
