Musnad Ahmad 470:5

Ubaydah narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Za’ra’ narrated to me, from Abu al-Ahwas, from his father Malik ibn Nadlah, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The hands are three: the hand of Allah is the uppermost, the hand of the giver is the one that follows it, and the hand of the asker is the lowest. So give what is surplus, and do not be incapable regarding yourself."
