And Abdullah ibn Ahmad narrated to us, he said: And Abu al-Sha'tha' Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Wasiti narrated to me, Yahya ibn Yaman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Mughirah al-Sarraj, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Give glad tidings to this nation of splendor, loftiness, victory, and establishment in the earth. So whoever among them does the work of the Hereafter for the sake of the world, he shall have no portion in the Hereafter." And this is the wording of al-Muqaddami. *** Abdurrahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, Abdulaziz ibn Muslim narrated to us, and Abdullah narrated to us, Abdulwahid ibn Ghiyath narrated to me, Abdulaziz ibn Muslim narrated to us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas—and Abdulwahid said in his hadith: al-Rabi' narrated to us—from Abu al-'Aliyah, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), he said: "Give glad tidings to this nation of splendor, victory, and establishment. So whoever among them does the work of the Hereafter for the sake of the world, he shall have no portion in the Hereafter."
