Musnad Ahmad 930:8

Waki’ narrated to us, Abu Ja’far narrated to us, from al-Rabi’, from Abu al-‘Aliyah, from Ubayy ibn Ka’b, regarding the saying of the Blessed and Exalted: {He is the One capable of sending upon you punishment from above you} [Al-An’am: 65], the verse. He said: "They are four, and all of them are punishment, and all of them will inevitably occur. Two have passed twenty-five years after the death of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: 'He will clothe you in factions' and 'He will make some of you taste the might of others.' And two remain that will inevitably occur: the swallowing up (by the earth) and the pelting (with stones)."
